Currently there are 21 different class archetypes available in Barony, each of which being unique in their own ways. Each has preset Stats, Skills and inventory of Items to help their quest through the dungeon at the beginning of the game, as well as a general difficulty rating presented for each and a small blurb of flavor text that helps explain what the class is proficient at.
Monster-specific Classes[edit | edit source]
These classes and their respective monster races are only available to owners of the Myths and Outcasts or Legends and Pariahs DLC packs.
Each monster race has a special class that is not initially available for other monster races. For example, a Goblin can choose their signature class: The Shaman. However, it can not choose the Skeleton's signature class: The Conjurer. Beating the game as a monster race will unlock that race's signature class for all other monster races.

Class Stat Growth[edit | edit source]
Whenever a character levels up, they get 3-4 stats permanently added to their base stats.
The first stat gets chosen randomly from all 6 stats.
2 of the stats gained upon level-up are chosen by the weight system. Every class has a unique array of weights for each stat. The weight system is similar to a raffle system, where a stat's weight determines how many tickets that stat gets to put into the drawing. You can not gain two of the same stat in the same level, so a stat loses all of its tickets if it has already been chosen by the random or weight system. The game draws 2 tickets from the pool and adds the chosen stats to the character's stat table.
The final stat does not get added every level. To gain a 4th stat, you must have trained a skill related to a stat during the previous level. Then, you must have gained the same stat in the previous processes. Once these two conditions are met, there is a 20% chance to gain that stat.
